Country Sales Manager, Epson Denmark

Job Summary :

As Epson continues to expand within the Nordic market, we are now recruiting a Business Sales Manager, to be based in our Herlev office in Denmark, and reporting directly to the Head of Sales, Nordics. This is a rare and exciting opportunity; where the successful candidate will make a huge contribution to our continued success!

The Business Sales Manager will hold responsibility for operational management of the Business sales team as well as the management of the Danish branch office.

Local travel will be a regular requirement of this role with some regional and/or European travel as required.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Implements strategy for the designated Epson product portfolio, designed to achieve the business plan
  • Develops sales opportunities with new customers following up a variety of leads
  • Qualifies leads, identifying those opportunities with the best potential for success
  • Develops current customer relationships to achieve the maximum potential revenue from the Epson portfolio, and work higher and wider with accounts
  • Executes tactical plans in support of the business sales strategy and communicate the progress both internally and externally
  • Liaises with other managers to produce the best mix of pricing and strategies to maximise revenues
  • Manages own portfolio of accounts demonstrating best practice account management and development to team
  • Consistently achieves high level results within defined business area and motivate the sales team to achieve individual high level results
  • Plans and executes quarterly MBR meetings with senior customers


  • Contributes to the marketing calendar for the full year
  • Inputs to the use of the channel marketing budget and align sales plans, as necessary
  • Ensures optimal implementation of generic Epson marketing plans


  • Provides information to enable the achievement of business goals
  • Contributes to forecasting, major account reviews and account development planning in order to report progress
  • Provides information at relevant review meetings detailing business performance and ensure account managers and teams contribute effectively
  • Ensures efficient management of costs including expenses, salaries, vendors etc.


  • Recruits, develops and manages a team resourced to deliver the sales strategy and achieve the required revenue results.
  • Motivates and appraises all direct reports and ensure that teams are managed effectively.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Senior sales background preferably within a related discipline and or industry
  • Experience of working in a matrix organisation and use of centrally resourced functions
  • Experienced managing a small team of Account Managers
  • Knowledge of the local market
  • A track record of sales results demonstrating customer portfolio growth
  • Good record of academic achievement
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft office, in particular Excel and PowerPoint) and ideally used to operating with CRM/comparable sales tools
  • Strong level of English language skills required (written and verbal)
  • Some Regional and/or European travel may also be required
  • Local travel will be a regular requirement of this role
