On behalf of our client Zyxel, we are looking for a Sales manager

Job Description:

The Sales Manager is responsible for growing and maintaining sales through existing Managed Accounts (Value Added Resellers – VARs) within the target area, whilst continually scouting and adding new accounts.  They will work closely with others in the Channel sales team and the wider business.

 Key Accountabilities:

  • Maintain and develop effective relationships within partner base and grow their Zyxel business and ensuring a clear plan is developed.
  • Develop and execute the VAR business plan strategy and activities for the Channel team, ensuring long-term growth.
  • P&L analysis of specified top accounts and use this to influence more business activities.
  • Develop a plan to move a targeted number of Solution partners into Premium partners.
  • Align with reseller account managers in distribution to support new business activities.
  • Meet activity quotas and business goals set by the Sales Management team.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of client requirements, barriers, organisational political boundaries, decision-making processes, and technical influencing processes.
  • Build Zyxel brand awareness and product focus through VAR marketing activities.
  • Measure and track marketing spend and report ROI across all activities in conjunction with partners.
  • Proactively encourage accounts to join the Partner Programme to take advantage of associated benefits, host and conduct ZCNE trainings for VARs and Partners in the target area. 
  • Analyse market potential in the territory and develop fast response to competitor’s strategies.
  • Build margin contribution via management of stock profiling, product mix, education, mind share and development of SMB business.
  • Track and follow projects closely and ensure solutions fit the end customers’ requirements and budget.
  • Keep Sales Logix and Sales Tracker up to date with potential projects.
  • Manage effective product forecasting from sales team.
  • Demonstrate an on-going proactive approach, driving the sale of products and services.
  • Work with other team members to provide a sales input into the product forecasting process
  • Handle / delegate technical queries to increase knowledge where appropriate.
  • Coach and share knowledge with other colleagues within Channel team and wider Zyxel team as appropriate.

Necessary Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Demonstrable experience within an IT Channel Sales role and in creating and delivering close relationships with suppliers and customers.
  • Record of success within Networking reseller accounts.
  • Degree level education in Business or IT related discipline would be ideal.
  • Technical proficiency in broadband and networking products is desirable.
  • Results orientated, motivated by success, and achievement and be able to execute on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong presenter with effective negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Must be an enthusiastic team player with an innovative approach.
  • Accountable for the work you produce.
  • Able to work under pressure and be prepared to work in a fast moving and aggressive environment where key objectives need to be met in pre-agreed timescales.
  • Fluency in English and local language is essential.  Any additional language skills would be desirable.
